Snowburner plays rolling stoner rock straight out of the genre's second wave, harking back to the kind of bands Man's Ruin loved to press on 10-inch vinyl. Riding frictionless ball bearings and hard wheels, they cruise through a setlist of riffage with a capital R, then drop anchor when it's time to slow things down.
Their debut LP Future Primitive (2016) was recorded by Menno Bakker, a demigod from the band's shared punk past, and mastered by James Plotkin (Earth, Sunn O))), Khanate). The result is an accessible mix of stoner rock and punk for fans of Fu Manchu, Goatsnake and Red Fang.
A colorful record with trippy artwork is all well and good, but Snowburner really comes alive on stage, one they've shared with the likes of Torche, Kylesa and Toner Low. In 2026 the wheels are rolling again.
Snowburner plaatst zich met hun rollende stonerrock in het tijdsgewricht van de tweede generatie stoner en grijpt terug naar de bands die Man's Ruin graag op 10 inch vinyl vastlegde. Op weerstandloze kogellagers en harde wielen cruisen ze door een setlist vol riffage met de grote R, om vervolgens het ankertje uit te gooien voor de vertraging.
